My name is Harold Waide jr and I'm an avid family man and Bills fan. This year is my second year with season tickets.I've always wanted a place to write about my family (My Wife and I have 10 children) and the Bills.
I've since decided to expand that a little bit and write about anything that piques my interest in the entire NFL. Football is my favorite sport even though I enjoy many others which are too numerous to mention here and I want to force3 myself to question the cogs as they mesh together to keep the league running. (At least for this season) In short, I want to expand my fanhood as I expound upon the virtues of family and football in everyday life.
The Bills have all but one draft pick signed this year on the eve of training camp. For what it's worth, I believe that Spiller will be signed before the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. He's a class act and I don't think he wants any sort of extended holdout to tarnish his reputation. Spiller has a lot of raw speed (he's been clocked at 28 miles an hour on kickoff returns) and was very involved in OTAs and will continue to keep himself in shape and study his playbook regularly.missing a week of camp won't hurt him that much in the long run. Fans need to be patient and not be too concerned.
Terrel Owens signed a 1 year deal with the Bengals. This move reeks of desperation on TO's part. The phones didn't ring for him for a long time. That's saying something. TO in Buffalo was a win-win situation. The Bills sold over 10,000 season tickets by signing him (don't be fooled football is a business) and TO had an opportunity to show that her could behave himself. Which he did. But we learned that TO isn't TO anymore. TO is, at best, average. Naturally he blames everything from the coaching change to the offensive line, to the QB. Hey, TO. I watched the games and so did every other team in the league. None of those things explain all the dropped passes (A career high). I don't think TO will behave himself this season. Too many egos fighting for one ball. Having said that, I'd welcome him back to Buffalo with open arms.
Commissioner Roger Goodell is meeting with fans of the Packers at 8PM tonight. It's a Question and answer session. I'll be interested to hear what he thinks about small market teams, revenue sharing, and progress on the new CBA. It's on NFL network so check it out if you don't have Time Warner Cable.
I had two of my girls outside with me watching the storms earlier. It was a comfortable night and Tabitha has a tendency to be scared of lightning storms so I took it as an opportunity to teach her about storms and how to tell when the thunder would hit(that's the part that really scares her) After she had grasped when the thunder would be coming, and Amelia had gone inside, Tabitha and I were watching the storm, talking about how beautiful lightning is, etc, and she fell asleep, laying on the porch next to me. Apparently she's not scared of storms anymore...tonight.
